A children's book editor wanders & ponders.
That was so great to hear. There's a quote I love (unfortunately I can never remember who said these things I love), that before an artist can create a good painting, there are a hundred bad paintings he has to get out of the way first. The key is to work hard so that you don't spend your whole life stuck with the bad ones.I know this applies to writing, and I can see it with my own work. I wrote so many thousands of pages before I even started to feel satisfied...and I'm not sure that my writing will ever be as "refined" as my taste.
Good stuff. REALLY good stuff.
Thanks of posting this video, it was great. The production and the message were in perfect harmony but I need to know more about Ira Glass.
I'm so glad I popped by and watched this video! It really takes years to truly accomplish what we set out to do and the only thing we can do, in the meantime, is to keep working on our Art to close that gap between those years.Claudinewww.carryusoffbooks.com/blog.html
This is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing – It really spoke it me today! And now back to writing.... ;)
I read this a couple months ago and it meant the world to me. I feel like I've been in that place a long time. Like Ira, longer than anyone I know. It was lovely to hear it spoken.
I love this! Thank you so much for sharing. Wow!
