And...I'm off! To Monterey, CA for the Big Sur Children's Writing Workshop, which is put on by the fab agents of Andrea Brown Literary Agency.
This picture is courtesy of Google, and the words "Monterey, CA," so I'm not sure if it will actually look like this, or if I'll be anywhere this near to the Pacific, but right now, I'm choosing to believe so!
Cross your fingers that I meet some amazing writers with some equally amazing manuscripts this weekend! Oh, and you should probably cross your fingers that I actually decide to come back home to NYC, too, because if it does look like that, well--I make no promises!
Have a wonderful trip and an amazing conference, Molly! I predict that at least one super-talented writer with a super-exciting manuscript will catch your eye!
ReplyDeleteOh, Molly - I'm afraid we may never see you again, because it does look like that. In fact, it looks even better!!! Have fun and I hope you find some kick a** ms's. ;-)
ReplyDeleteMolly, it looks just like that. Have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip. California is very seductive. The last time time I vacationed there I ended up moving to LA for a year! I eventually made my way back to the east coast though so you should be okay. ; )
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
WOW!
ReplyDeleteI was just at a SCBWI conference at a country club in a shady part of PA...gorgeous...but, Monterey....WOW!
Wish I could head that way and BE one of those writer/illustrators you are waiting to meet! :)
See you around facebook!
Will check back to see who you discover while you're away!
Have a blast!
California in December is lovely. Enjoy it, every bit!
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely to meet you, Molly! You were an excellent Crit Group leader--honest yet kind. Hope you enjoyed your time in CA, although--BRRRR. I think it got extra cold, just for you! :)
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Debra
It was a pleasure to meet you at the Big Sur Children's Writing Workshop. I appreciate the outstanding feedback and I second Debra's comment - you were "honest yet kind." Thanks again - much appreciated!
