Phantom of the New Moon: A Reprise of Sorts

In honor of tonight's New Moon movie premiere, I'd like to take this moment to reprise what remains perhaps the most brilliant and insightful blog post I've ever written (housed on what was formerly the Bowen Press editorial team blog; now the blog of Brenda Bowen, literary agent extraordinaire).

Enjoy!

  1. OMG, you are so right! And the line, "My inner theatre buff, who thrills at any opportunity to start internally belting showtunes, was activated," cracked me up!! I'm tweeting this important Phantom/Twilight PSA.

  2. Ok, so that WAS a brilliant post. And now my head will be eternally (for the next hour, at any rate) filled with Twilight-ish Phantom songs. And next time I'm singing in the shower...watch out!

  3. Molly-I love your linked post! I had never thought of that! Atleast you sing your show tunes in your head. I bet my younger brothers wish their sister had been the kind to sing to herself instead of out LOUD! :) Now I've taught my kids to sing out loud with me so I don't seem so strange :) right? Hope you don't mind but I'm going to put your link on my blog. It is too great not to share!

  4. Glad to have found others who appreciate the Twilight/Phantom Phenom. Thanks for linking/tweeting. And apologies if the tunes are still in your head, two days later! ;)

  5. Very observant! Do you really think it was done on purpose or just a remarkable coincidence? And I STILL belt show tunes, but totally externally. My daughter is four and now runs around making up songs. I've taught her well.
